Dr Rashmi Dixit

Dr Rashmi was born and raised in New Zealand, coming to Sydney upon graduation from Auckland Medical School.
Rashmi's passions are:
1. Metabolic health - encompassing diabetes prevention, prediabetes management and healthy weight attainment
2. Infectious Diseases - infectious conditions of the skin, soft tissues and internal organs
3. General Paediatrics
She has completed Australian fellowships in paediatric infectious diseases and travel and tropical medicine with a subspeciality of weight management.
Rashmi commenced her internship and residency at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, and completed her basic paediatric training at Sydney Children's Hospital. Her paediatric and adult infectious diseases training was at the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane, the Townsville Hospital in Far North Queensland, and the Royal Children's and Royal Women's Hospitals in Melbourne. Rashmi worked as an infectious diseases paediatrician at the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance at Westmead Children's Hospital in Sydney, where she is completing her PhD in 'Influenza in Vulnerable Populations.
Rashmi's strengths lie in providing thorough, personable care of patients. Her personal interests are weight reduction and maintenance in patients of all ages, particularly those with insulin resistance; general paediatric care and management of adult and paediatric infections.
